Final PSS

The big idea:
Charity is important in today's society as more people need other peoples help. We can only help each other with either money or support. But due to today's lifestyle people are forgetting the need to help others. We are living in the world of “on the go”, we don't stop to look at the bigger picture. The concept I developed is a way that people can donate without really thinking about it and where they stop and see what's going on around us. A problem that occurred when donating is the convenience and the lack of information they are donating to. My idea is that the while waiting for a bus there is an advertisement board that will advertise the specific charity that wants your attention. Visual imagery is important as people feel more connected to an image rather than just words. On the poles there are donation boxes attached, these donations boxes are different as they are actually pay pass/wave pay stations. These boxes are set to  $1 donations and are a tap and go idea but instead of buying something for yourself you are donating to a charity or cause. The benefit of having this is there is no theft of money and you don't need change to donate because today everyone pays with a card. After the donation is accepted the advertisement changes into a message of thank you from the organisation. This shows their appreciation for your donation and you in return feel great that you did   something to help.

  1. Lubar, Cool concept! Poster work well together. Story board is nice. I would have liked to see the system map showing not only how the user interacts but all the back of house (people behind the scenes) as well. I could see this not only at bus stops and shelters but on main intersections and train stations. There may be some security issues with people getting their credit card out but still a great concept. well done.

  2. That is a great idea. I think to improve the overall grade with the tutors, the technical drawing could show how the parts are assembled. And maybe the concept can play a sound to create pleasant music/tune after a donation was put through, just something add to the positive interaction experience of donating

  3. Yo. I think this really is quite clever. Everyday going to uni and walking past the central eddy ave exit, i see at least 3 different people standing in the middle of the pathway trying to stop people while they're moving which i find ridiculous, but actually taking the task of stopping people away and approaching them while they are waiting for something, that really has a different outcome, and if it's a billboard bus stand that does the approaching, it allows for more of a visual message to be communicated too which is much faster.
One thing you could also include however is a coin slot too perhaps for the loose coins people have?

  4. I like your design of placing poster next to a bus stop, this will really helps people to donate. And this large post will estimate people as well. But your technical drawing haven't show much about how the product connect together, and what is the inside of pay pass look like?

  5. Good job! it is a really good way to engage people make donation. Although it's only one dollar, many a little will makes a lot. I just consider people may think about the card safety issue and not will use card on this. so that a coin slot will really help.
